    4AFE to 4AGE swap?

I have decided to swap in a 4AGE 16v Smallport into my 94 Corolla. So my question is this, has anyone swapped from a 4AFE to a 4AGE in their AE92 or AE101 Corolla? If so, i'd love to talk to you to find out about how the swap went, how the engine feels afterwards, how its holding up, etc.

    Thanks

read the entire page.... i go through all of the differences...... i'm not going to tell you, you need to read it all....

other than the differences i talk about, if you want the 4age wiring and ecu it depends on if you want a MAP based system.... if that's what you want, then you'll have to watch ebay for a JDM wiring harness and ecu that are MAP based.... otherwise you'll need the entire harness, all of the electricals, the distributor for that ecu, the ecu.... transmission doesn't matter unless you want different ratios

So I would need a 90-92 Corolla GT-S engine, transmission, wiring harness and ECU... and probably some other random parts? Do you recommend any places to get the engine and transmission?

that's exactly how mine is running now.... except i have no TPS sensor.... so it runs rich at idle (doesn't lean it out) and i'm losing gas mileage.... and it doesn't richen up at WOT, so i'm losing a bit of upper end HP.... also, the injectors may not be running as well as they could be..... if the MS ecu goes as well as i hope on my aw11, then i'm going to purchase a kit for the ae92

Well, seeing that my JDM smallport was $400.... and it wasn't in the best of shape.... getting one from japan really means nothing.... I would look around online and call around to see who has what.... but i would almost reccomend finding one in a local junkyard.... (like a pullapart)... usually (at least around here) they're $200 for the engine and less than $150 for the tranny.... then just rebuild them

The big question I had, toyotaspeed90, was where would yuo recommend finding a transmission and engine, the parts I need I can read your page, like you said, and I can figure it out, but I want a reliable place to get an engine/transmission that is in good shape... that is what is important for me right now.
