i just hope when my parts get here that i dont snap off one of those studs in the head . ive been soaking the shit outta it with PB for about a week now , about three times a day ill scrub it real good with a toothbrush and tap around with a hammer and then brush some more. if i snap one off im phuked , cause my rolla is my only transportation , and i dont have a ride to the parts store to get studs.

it should be easy unbolting the manifold....when you get done to where the catalytic is an if all the bolts are rusted out you have to cut the bolts off...Cause thats what i did to mine...replace the bolt is easy just go to a Hardware store......I so start from bottom then top......

I WD-40'd that shit!, but mine weren't rusted. You will have to cut the bolts from the cat, and any other rusted one. Like corolla racer said.

If your afraid of braking a bolt, buy some for just in case. And if you dont use them just return them.

    Just a suggestion.

ppppssshhhhh! them nuts werent shit , especially after soaking in PB for a week , anyway i got the new header on . i only ran into 2 problems ; 1. whoever designed these headers , there mock vahicle must not have had a/c , cause i had to remove the low pressure line to the compressor for the o2 sensor to fit into the aftermaket piece. or its b/c i got the header for the 1.8 , heads the same , 1.8 header just longer to clear the oil pan and the longer block . i did this to keep it away from my oilpan asmuch as possible , hense less heat transfer. 2. my old o2 sensor gasket was seized to my oem manifold . nobody in my vencinity sells this gasket seperatly from the sensor. this is a bitch , w/ no ride till im finished . luckily a friend swooped me up to the part store . i ended up having to do a custom fab job outta chevy egr valve gasket. it works .:)heres some pics

    Nice!

When I got my header I had to fabricate some gaskets, and buy some bolts. Didn't come with anything. You wont feel much of a difference until you get the exhaust though.

i can already feel a small difference with the header and strt-thru muffler . cant wait for the hi-flw cat , new resonator , and 2-2 1/4 out the back.
