get the new rotors, calipers, and possible brake lines if neccesary. then, look to see what else is needed with the conversion. i know you can get some tenzo-r rotors. they arent too bad and they are a pretty good price.

yeah, look up tweak. it is VERY POSSIBLE!

although i have found even running my 93 corolla very hard in all kinds of conditions that a brake conversion for the rear would probably only benefit race track users and make maintaining it a lot easier in terms of doing the work. not sure which pads you need, which might be trickier to locate.

I think Dr. Tweak has a conversion kit from a ~95ish (6th gen, I believe) Celica that can be used on Corollas.

    Tweak's kit works for 93 - 02 Corollas.

You use the caliper, line, brake pads, and put a 4-lug rotor on there.

What if you need replacement rotors down the road. There's the possibility that he won't have them anymore.

MR-S are 4x100. I wonder if we could use their brakes.

I know JDM AE111 have rear disk brake, the only problem is finding brake pads locally that would fit it.

You have a point about using rear disks from the MR-S. Dr. Tweak would know for sure if it would work.

1990 Corolla GTS rear brake pads work. That's what I use on my AE101/111 rears.

Dr. Tweak's kit comes with 6th gen Celica GT rotors redrilled to 4 x 100. I too questioned the safety and integrity of the redrilled rotors. After about 10,000 miles of spirited and highway driving I have to say the kit is 100% safe.

    Hmm.... Nice info.

What rear disk are you using? Just the regular one or the "big disk"?

The MR-S rear brakes was already brought to the docs attention many months ago. Only problem he has is readily available parts in junk yards and such.

i use ae111 levin disc brakes all around (big discs). for the rear i use toyota corona/caldina/carina pads. i think the pads are the same as the earlier model camry's.
