Engine 3Spd to 4Spd

    Hey guys just another question..

    on a 01 prizm with the 1zzfe VVT-i just wondering if i could drop out the 3 spd tranny and put a 4 spd on without any modificatiions.

    well my friend ... i did the auto to manual swap and it cost me 200$ and it was the best ting i ever did... theres notting like it.... any way the way i did it is i found a whole corolla... that the engine was blown.... and the guy was asking 300$ for it... i got it for 200 dint even put it to my name just riped every thing i could of of it...(sold the head lights...struts...tail lights...trunk....and wheels......hummm few other things... my friend needed a wiper...you know stuff like that so it got payed there...and then i took every thing out and in 14 hours ...it was done ... lol toyota was charging me 36 hours of labour to do this swap...not including taking the stuff out of the old corolla.....so anyway if you guys what to do it i can give you a step by step guide.... w/o pics sorry..... and i can tell you every thing you need to get....but best way is get a car...w/engine damage ...or a wreak if you can ...any way if you want more info let me know ]

    man i have the 3 spd too, i don't like it at all. I would really like a manual but i figure it will be much too expensive and it wouldn be worth it.

    Yep i know what you mean.. ive been searching for a manual tranny for about a month now and my work links to every junkyard in the state and they have nothing. so i figured i would go with a 4 speed and maybe get a little bit more performance out of it
