3rd brake light

    3rd brake light

    is it ok if i made a sign or name outa vinyl and stick it on the 3rd brake light?
    is it ok to do? or get pull over for it?

    well since a 3rd brake isn't neccesary i would say you are fine.

    this reply is a little late, but there is no problem with making a vinyl sign/cutout/mask for your 3rd brake light. My shop makes and sells all sorts of vinyl products for cars and I know they are completely legal.

    Ya its ok just dont cover it up cause in some states the 3rd break light is required, and if you get in an accident where some one says they didnt see your break light cause some ppl are really dumb. You can get in some little trouble. But it should be ok. Plus in some states your not suppose to block it but police dont bother with it unless other wise, cause the state i live in requires it on new models, but in my county im not allowed to block mine but mine is on my wing so im safe.

    The ford Escape has "Escape" written in it's third brake light so I believe it perfectly legal :)

    If I was not so lazy, I would go outside and snap a picture of mine. It is legal as far as I know. I recomend metal, because the lights can get warm.

    Fiero is that little pontiac 2 seater back in the 80's... Civic is Ferio, not Fiero.
