    2zzge? multiple questions.

Concerning the 2zz swap. Would I have to custom fabricate my own mounts for the motor or are they widely manifactured as an aftermarket part? After the swap, does the motor leave any room for a turbocharger or supercharger? Where can I go to order such a motor? Also, will the 6speed transmission for the 2zzge fit the corolla? When I swap the motor I would also like to get rid of the stock 5speed.

    make your own mounts.

the motor requires head work to reduce compression if you intend to boost it. do a LOT of research on this.

the 6spd trans will fit. it's been done before, in a 98. what year car do you have?

You'll have to make your own, but the next time I do one I'll blueprint them so I can build them for all you guys. Yes, plenty of room for a turbo system, but it will have to be very properly built to work on the high compression engine, ideally you'd want to rebuild it with forged, low compression internals. You can usually find these on car-part.com, you can also get the JDM version from some importers. The 6-speed will work, but requries custom axles (another thing I will offer eventually, as a kit with the mounts).

Congratulations, you just did lol. I must remedy this.

So, why do you want to boost it? You are probably safe for a simple 5-7PSI bolt-on boost, more if you beef up the engine internals.

My thoughts are that you should read the first reply and do lots of research. There is not a single currently-posting member who has forced induction on their car. Not the place to ask, sorry.

    yep.
Odd as this sounds, pop over to newcelica.org and pose this question. there's bound to be some good info over there. and since 9thgencorolla went dead, The 9th gen community has taken a huge hit. TN's 9th gen community is piss-poor.
