    2ZZ & 1zz

I was just want to find out if the 2ZZ Celica GT-S Head can fit on a 1ZZ corolla bottom end? Another thing is what would have to be done if it can work?

    It won't fit.
They're both ZZ serise, but they don't have much in common in the block. Different bolt location, different size bore/stroke.

They won't fit because nobody has tried to do the research.you could have the same bore in a 1zz by getting a big bore kit and now it will clear the valves. check to see if the dowel pins line up between the block and heads. you would really need to have a 2zz ge head and a 1zz bottom end to do this properly. good luck, mate.

But if the bolt locations are different, there's no use in trying to make it fit. Plus, even if they did, you'd be spending a good bit on a big-bore kit. At that point, why wouldn't one just buy the whole 2ZZ engine?
