2009 Corolla TRD Strut bar. Installed!!

I received the TRD Strut bar for my 09 corolla yesterday, and got it installed. Unfortunately the camera died last night, so I will get some pictures as soon as its installed.

I think it handles better now, especially in corners.

I was thinking about getting the TRD Rear Sway Bar. But what else will that do for me??

Sounds good to me. I will be ordering it in a few weeks. Anything I need to know, when driving with a rear sway bar?? I'd rather not crash the car :)

Btw. How is the strut bar treating you??

    its goood.

when you put it on you will oversteer a little bit but it takes like 5 minutes to adapt to the new handling. you should also in general get an alignment done after installing it.

its just because of the vvti black cover taking up all the space so it doesnt look empty and boring.

You should see how much space the CAI opens up, lol. I will have to post a pic of the hole that the Air box left.

Goku is right, the stock airbox on the 10th gen is massive. you should see the engine bay when its stock. that actually looks like a family of 5 could live in it compared to stock

Rear Sway bars make the rear of your car come around on you in corners. You should get the front too.
Random F.Y.I: You can't really "over steer" in a 60/40 weight distributed FWD vehicle with far less that 7lbs/hp weight/power ratio.

If you aren't racing, it's overkill, but if you like it, thumbs up to you. Increase car value.

I had to take the Wipers off, and the wiper motor off, and then take the Cowel(Spelling?) off, just to get to it, quite a pain in the ass, but it was worth it. I like taking stuff apart. :)

Oversteer is a phenomenon that can occur in an automobile while attempting to corner or while already cornering. The car is said to Oversteer when the rear wheels do not track behind the front wheels but instead slide out toward the outside of the turn.

This means Oversteer is practically impossible if the weigh distribution isn't 50/50 or biased to the rear.

you don't frequently Oversteer, you just frequently turn the wheel in the wrong direction, no offense, unless you frequently use your hand brake to make the rear wheels slide out.

Yeah, sorry MovieSTAR didn't want to sound rude or anything, I am just hell bent on believing that FWD overseer is only possible in three occasions, haha.

1.) 50/50 weight distribution, and using a very very specific braking and
    throttling sequence.
    2.) Bald rear tires
    3.) Hand Braking.

because you dont know how i drive in the mountains and the way the weight in my car shifts when it goes from 1 turn to the next. its not hard at all to swing the rear out. i do have a full size spare in the trunk, and my tires are brand new. and my brakes arent anything out of the ordinary. its just the weight distribution from my car when it swings around corners.

of course with my engine the state its in i can barely get up into the mountains.

dude, the philippines have corola altis... I am here now and i plan on getting stuff for the 10th gen. Those pix say they are 08 but look like for the 9th gen tho... Maybe they came out earlier here...

    *non thread related*
did you know the 10th gen have LED tails over here? Can you please take a pic on the tail assy for me to verify if they are the same? Also the front grille. I plan on taking those two back there. Hopefully they fit...
