    2007 Riding Season Begins!

Every year we all hear about too many of our fellow riders and friends that lose their life in pursuit of the passion we all share for motorcycles. I hope that as this 2007 season is off to a start, everyone has really taken the time to consider the risks involved in what we do, if you haven’t, you really should take a minute, and be sure it is worth the cost if things go wrong.

Please ride smart, ride safe, and if you have to push the limits, at least try and do it in a way that isn't totally reckless. I wish everyone would 'save it for the track', but I know we all (myself included) go out and do stupid stuff. If you are going to do something stupid, try and be a little smart about it.

No one can make your decisions for you, so please make the smart ones. I hope that we are all here at the end of this summer to brag on what a great riding season it was. IT'S ALL ABOUT SAFETY AND ENJOYING THE PASSION THAT DRIVES US!

We've already had one guy killed when he was struck by an 84 year old driver who pulled out on him and another who hit some spilled oil in the road doing about 40 and had to have one of his legs taken below the knee. Not a good way to start the spring. Be careful and stay alert. The only one looking out for you on the road is you.

Most of my friends have a bike for the track primarily. One of our closest friends has a 60 trim turbo'd Hayabusa, though It's been stretched some, the Megasquirt fell to a Motech, and I think the turbo is about to get a little bigger. Very sweet ride, and bikes are the cheapest way to run a sub 9 qtr. mile though his will do much better than that.
There are very few folks we know well that still ride on the street... especially since folks around here are more concerned with pimpin out 26 inch rummmzzz on a box chevy and talking on their cellphone all while trying to drive.

I bought a used Ninja 650R. I am signed up for the MSC, and spared no expense in proper gear. I've been riding for a few weeks and right now I'm still sticking to back roads and parking lots until I get my skills up.

yea, I want a bike but its the least of my priorities right now...but hopefully in the future, i'll have one as well...

But for this summer, I hope to make a road trip out to Deal's Gap. Even if it would be in my Civic, I wanna see what 318 turns in 11 miles feels like....

yup...i still work for the hospital but our IT folks (hell, most of the IT for the hospital) are in MW. it's right off Northern Pkwy, and i live on Taylor, so I basically take Northern at its start all the way over to Falls. i NEVER see the highway unless i get the itch to go to my parents' house, and even then i'm more likely to take Falls Rd. north. it's a really pretty ride. :) i'm in the most ideal situation possible for commuting on a bike.
