2007 Corolla Cold Air Intake

I am interested in buying an after market cold air intake system. Pardon my ignorance I am new to this, I have a number of questions about this:
1. what would be compatible with my car? (i have tried looking on ebay and have not found one that is for a 2007 corolla)

2. would installing an after market cold air intake system void my factory warranty?

3. i have basic knowledge about cars. could i install the system myself?

Help anyone?? Thank you!

1. Checkout the selling forum over at www.9thgencorolla.com they might have one for your 07.

2. Yes it will.

3. If your good at unbolting a couple screws, You could DIY.

Take a look at Injen. Here's the link: http://www.injen.com/docs/other/sea...delID=42&Eng=L4
They have a CAI for the 2005-2006. I don't know why it won't fit the 2007 Corolla. Nothing changed on the engine from the 2006 model. You could contact them to find out. If it does work, I would suggest you get it from here: http://www.neverenoughauto.com/inde...product_id=5558 they are the cheapest place to get it and if you do find it for less, just let them know and they'll bet the price. I'm currently using this intake and I puchased it from Brad at neverenoughauto.com. It's a good intake and provides some good power, so check it out.

Also, if you can use the Injen CAI, order a AEM DRYFLOW filter to replace the injen filter. The AEM DRYFLOW filter requires no oil, you just wash it out, let it dry and it'll continue to filter out 99.53% of the junk in the air and it won't void your warranty. I threw away my Injen filter and put this on my Injen CAI and it works fine. Here's what I'm talking about_: http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=32

i was looking at the aem filters. i have a question though will the increased flow of air mess with the engine at all cause more air requires more fuel right? thats what i was under the assumption

in the case of that ur car would be running rich(too much oxygen)/lean(to little oxygen) ur CEL "check engine light" would turn on. in either case you shouldnt have ur car running in that state for a long period of time. i forgot which one is capabile with the 07s... too bad 9thgen corolla doesnt work right now or you can check the poll.

btw is your car auto or manual...?

it is auto i havent had any problems with the ebay filter right now but its time to change it out and i was looking at their site and the air increase was questioning to me cause back in school i learned the more air you force in the more fuel required to burn it so thats y i asked but i realize modern ecu must account for that air increase maybe
