i have to say, i'm impressed with the numbers that the 2005 rsx are rumored to have..

body style is more like a type r
the tail lights are type r similar
    some itr motor parts
    8100 rpm redline
    210 hps
    pretty nice..

needless to say, it's still a honda, and torque is still a piece of shit haha

Yeah, I saw the pictures of the 2005 on clubrsx. The numbers are very impressive. The sad part is that all the performance enhancements are going to drive the price even higher than the already pricey RSX ( just like Celica GT-S)

Yeah, im not a big honda person either, but it still puts the 2zzge engine to shame. It only does 180hp and 130tq. Compared to the RSX 210hp and 143tq. Yeah celica is 350-400 pounds lighter. But still, put the rsx-s engine inside the celica, and thats a beast. :)

180 HP Celica vs,. RSX Type S is pretty much a driver's race. You will find this quote a lot even on the club RSX board ( RSX Type S quarter mile 15.1 secs Celica GT-S quarter mile 15.3 secs). The 210 HP must be a lot more powerful, but the displacement has not been changed from 2L so the compression ratio is even higher now. They have raised the redline from 8000 RPM to 8100 RPM. Although, 105 HP per liter of displacement is very impressive.

    actually, cr is the same.

the changes include the exhaust manifold, intake manifold (which will now be dual-stage, like the base, improving low end torque, and giving it a flatter curve), the exhaust system, and i read different cams, but we're not sure if those will be Type-R cams, or just different cams.

also, price is expected to be the same, though obviously at dealerships, it'll go for msrp for a little while (23,800)

EDIT: forgot to add, the old redline was 7800, not 8000, fuel cut-off was 8100. hopefully the new rev limiter will be 8400, because with teh new Type-R final drive, it will have to rev to 8325 or something like that to hit 60 in second

anyone ever bother to look at dyno sheets between the RSX and the Celica? basline runs show the celica gets as much power to the wheels as the RSX, Something I think Toyota has always been better at. just INtake and exhaust gets about 170hp to the wheels on the Celica

I strongly doubt it that the price will remain the same. It will definitely be atleast $2000 more.

there's no way, it's just a minor reskin, not to mention sales suck, the only vehicles in the acura lineup that had fewer sales were the nsx, and the since departed CL
