    2003 Factory Radio Question

I've read on this forum that you can use an aux input adapter on the stock radio. If so, then how do you get it to work? It uses the CD Changer controls, but how does the single CD player still work? I just have the AM/FM/CD. No tape.

I'm a newb at this so I apologize for sounding like an idiot. I've got a Sirius PnP coming and I want it to sound the best. I'm not really looking forward to FM Modulation.

Pressing the CD button cycles between CD and the external CD changer input. Those adapters are pretty expensive, and in the end, the stock system is pretty bad. I'm not sure that using an FM modulator would be that much worse.

I am, oxymoron. I tried one of those FM modulators, and wow was it ever *terrible*. Yes, far worse than listening to a cd even through the stock system.

Compared to getting a nice, quality deck the 80 for one of those PIE (or other brand) aux-in adapters is a pretty appealing price, but you're probably going to want to get a deck eventually anyways, so why not?

I've used them too and in my experience they are better than FM radio. Like anything else, not all modulators are not equal - you get what you pay for.

So what would your suggestion be? I'm looking between the hardwire FM-Modulator or the PIE cable.

I tend to agree with daPyr0x - a new head unit is the best way to go.
