    2001 Corolla Emblem Removal

Sorry if this was asked previously...

I'm looking to debadge the back of my 2001 Corolla. Now before I screw myself over and get it partially done, are there ANY posts holding the emblems on or is it all just a gummy adhesive? I know that on the LE emblem it appears to be only the adhesive. I'm debadging so I can put advertising on the rolla for my business. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its just adhesive... you can heat them up a bit with a heatgun or even a hairblower then just play around with them till they come off....

or you could just wiggle them arround alot... and they'll come off eventually... a credit card or and id works great...

after that you can remove the excess adhesive with some goop off or some sh17 like that.

man up, pull that shit off, then clean away adhesive with goo gone. wax the area afterwards cuz goo gone strips off everything down the the paint.

Good question...I want to take off the Toyota emblem on the left side of my trunk and the Corolla LE on the right side of my trunk, it seems like it's just stuck on with adhesive...someone told me fishing string works good, just slide it behind it and it'll slide right off, then wipe the extra goop off with goo gone and wax it...

Doing that won't mess up my paint will it? I want to get rid of that stuff asap...

any advice will be appreciated :)

Nope it wont, i personally use dental floss, it works wonders and i know it doesnt mess up the paint. Then just use nail polish remover or go out and buy some goo gone to get any extra adhesive off. The Corolla in the middle of the trunk is a little harder but it all can be done in 15-30 minutes.

I'm leaving the toyota logo in the middle of the trunk, just removing the part that says "toyota" and "corolla le"...wont nail polish remover remove the paint? since afterall it removes the paint off your nails? I'll probably go with goo gone...I'll probably try tomorrow.

I did it! I went to Discount Auto Parts and bought some stuff by 3M, its basically like goo gone but made to take off adhesive and gunk off of cars...it worked like a beauty. I washed it afterwards and then waxed the area. Heres a pic.

Im paranoid to use the "Goo Off" I have, it smells like turpintine, and I don't want it to strip away my paint. I took off the "Corolla" badge and I cant get all the adhesive off.
