this is a bunch of BS i think. Never used one nor have i seen anyone buy one. Remember that round thing called the tornado which was popular for a few months? I think the idea is similar to that. I tried the tornado. it sucked balls. If you want better air flow, get a better air filter or just get a CAI. make sure your injectors are clean and your fuel filter is good and doing all that (other than buying a cAI) you'll stilll spend less than tat throttle body spacer.

Well throttle body spacers have been around much longer than the stupid tornado. I know they have been used extensively on domestic cars. I'm just not sure if the spacer is installed before or after the butterfly valve. If it is inside before the butterfly valve then it actually might have some benefits, but if it's after then no since it would be the same as a tornado. But either way, it's a little too pricey to try out.

    2000-2004 Corolla throttle body spacer

I was looking at some parts for my car and I came across this:

    http://replacement.autopartswarehou...0Spacer&dp=true

Does anyone know if this would actually work or has anyone bought one? Something seems wrong if it only fits 2000-2004 Corollas.

There is a claimed 4 to about 14 degree temperature drop in the intake charge from using a phenolic spacer. A phenolic spacer will isolate and extend your throttle body from the intake manifold heat, but it would be difficult to get even a 3 degree difference in intake charge. They're far more useful on a carb'd setup where the fuel sits in the carb soaking up the heat as well. Additionally, have you looked at the intake manifold design? Even if it did spin the air, what good would it do? It's not spinning the right way to do any good at all. The motion of the air through the manifold is far too complex. I know for a FACT that carb spacers make a difference. The bottom line is that throttle body spacers do NOT work efficiently. It might make some difference but it will be so small you won't feel it. It DOES make a difference on carb'd cars though. The only thing you would get from a throttle body spacer would be a whistling sound every time you hit the throttle. Sounds cool but not worth it.

Sounds like an overpriced gimmick. DrunkSaru said it perfectly.
