    1zzfe ECU

Hey everyone it's been a while since I've been here. I stopped coming here because of school and I couldn't afford auto modifications to my car. But now I graduated college and i'm making 40K a year so I'm back to modding my car and then giving it to my bro.

    First question:
Hey everyone, do you know who can chip the 1zzfe ecu for me? And for how much? I've been trying find people for this but all I can rely on is search engines and word of mouth, so I haven't had much luck.

    thanks for helping,
    Peter

You can't chip ANY toyota ECU, no one can crack it yet.
All you can do is get a piggyback like camcon, e-manager, or SAFCII. Or replace the ECU completely with standalone.

You won't see much of a difference. I watched a program on cable, a while back, Tuner something.

Anyways, they took a Matrix XR (Corolla engine nonXRS). They put an aftermarket "performance" ECU, intake and exhaust. Spent over $2,000 and all they got was about 5hp. Not worth it IMO. But your money, your car.

If you are going for NA, the camcon is very good too. It can control VVTi and you can gain around 5-10hp on corolla I believe (dyno on Celica GT, gain 10hp).

well I wasnt completely honest.....the ECU can be cracked and has been.....theres a corolla ECU that has been modified by a toyota tech...he stopped the fuel cut off and shift points for the tranny and also raised the rev limiter or somehting like that...oh and over rided the speed governor.......cost $210 to get it....but its plug n play....

EL prototypes has also done it. Raise rev limit, Governer, basicly celica gt ecu but better.

i think the 4th one might be just the subframe mount. i just remember taking shit out of all 4 corners when taking out the tranny to replace the clutch.

    and wrong thread yo.
