hmm not as impressive as the celi.. 359whp really isnt that much and i take it that 20psi is the peak as far as you can go with boosting a 1zz..

Also this guy sure do have a 1/4mi time for a mr2 in his sig.. thats kinda a waste..

20 psi isn't gonna be his lowest by the looks of the thread, he said its a brand new car and they haven't put sleeves in yet either.

I am a bit confused...359whp is not really that much? Another thread on here had a Corolla at 205whp and people are oooing and awe-ing, this guy got 359 out of our same block and it is not that much? Is there a 1zz Celica out there with more or sumptin? If I can get 359 to the wheels in my car using the upgrades they are using, I will piss my pants! I was gunning for at 250-300 using the same stuff they are using so I would be really excited to see 300+ come up on the graph. Just let me know if I am missing something here....

359HP 1zz isn't that much?! What are you smoking today my friend? 99.9% of modded 1ZZs are lucky to berak 200whp much less 300...

I guess if you compare it to a Supra or something then yeah, it's not htat much...

I think he was saying, that for the amount of boost he was running, it's not that much.

each time you go up psi its not gonna give you huge gains. I bet that at 20 psi, its only 120 hp more than at 8. Though it all depends on the size. But even that is a big gain.

it really depends on the turbo itself... and they did not say what turbo they are using...

u can be using a small turbo @ 20psi... and would equal the amount of power a larger turbo runnin @ 12 psi....

so who here knows that the new evo makes 270hp at the crank with 19.5 psi and a 2liter?

359 at the wheels out of an ecomony based 1.8liter engine at 20psi (only .5 more than an evo) is very impressive

the sti makes "only" 300 crank horsepower out of a 2.4liter and about 16psi

WTF who woke this thread up?

Anyways thats exactly my point.. that celi made 205HP with stock internals and ONLY 6psi.. add 3-5K+ for internals/fuel management to bring it up to 20psi and ending up at 359hp at peak performance really isn't that impressive. I guess i'm just expecting too much and comparing it to a 3sgte

Turbo4age.. as always I agree with you but you are looking at stock performance compared to fully tuned (i'm guessing).. My friend do have a WRX and I can honestly tell you after a aftermarket up/down pipe, exhaust and a ecu reflash.. there were a increase, he saw a 50-60HP increase at all four wheels.. Now imagine if a turbo/intercooler upgrade was also added, so sean was correct as well and I didnt see that till now.

I really would like to know what turbo he is using, but until the I stand by my comment
