    1zz head swap

OK, I know you guys are going to read this and get Horribly pissed. But I just don't understand why it can't be done. The 1zz is a 2zz minus Lift, with lower comression pistons, and diffrent rev limit and fuel maping. I know there diffrent engines, but there also EXTREMELY simular. Couldn't you put a 2zz head on and run a Tec II ecu?

Although they are both in the ZZ engine family, they are actually two different blocks. It would require ALOT of machining to get them to match up properly (if at all)...

    1ZZ-FE - Bore = 79mm
    2ZZ-GE - Bore = 82mm

That'd be one of the problems...

well the stroke I don't think'd be a problem if the block is different... becuase it's interference anyways i believe... but to overbore to 82 is a good chance of killing it..

MWR is coming out with some cams for the 1zz, just wait for those and you'll be happy. Way cheaper and will give a decent pick-up
