    1zz-ge?

i was just thinking today, i know that a ge head swap has been done on a lot of the older A series corollas, both the 4afe and 7afe. but has anyone swapped the GE head onto a 1zz yet? if so, u got any pics, or dyno charts? i wonder if it would help a lot or not.

The bore & stroke of the 1zz(79x91) and 2zz(82x83) are different. The entire engines are different, basically- they can interchange trannies, but thats about it. the heads' bolt paterns dont match anyway, its been tried. A 2zz engine is a pretty penny, so swaps are too expensive for he hp&tq.

yeah, i know that swaps are pointless, taht's why i was asking about head swaps. i knew i had read that earlier on the old vvti, but i forgot exactly why it couldn't be doen.

Its been tried. They don't bolt up. GE heads have the valves at 45 degree angles while FE has 22 degrees. Something like that.
