haha. If you reall want the power with the cutout, get it welded on the downpipe...just don't get caught with it open.

    1zz-fe turbo

Ok, I saw that there is a turbo kit for the 04 corolla's. T25 turbo, full bolt on. I am more of a Turbo fan anyway, and seeing as it makes more power than the TRD supercharger, and that you won't see boost unless you lay into the gas, it won't kill your gas miledge ether. Not to mention a price of 1999.99, just about 700 less than the TRD supercharger. My main question is, have any of you already put a turbo on your 1zz-fe? I just don't know how reliable it would be. The company says the kit runs 6psi and is safe and reliable. But I just don't know. That and does VVT-i trip out under boost?

with the extreme turbo kit put on a 2000 toyota corolla, it costs 3100, how much horsepower do you think it would make with a full exhaust system and then turbo kit? like there are always estimates in percentages but how much horsepower does it actually make? has any had their car dynoed with a turbo kit?

From what Ive read theres a FMU that comes with the 98+ kit. There is no FMU to replace on that motor. Its a returnless system, therefore no reason to have a FMU right before the fuel rail, with a line back to the tank. The only way to get more gas is to get an inline pump+digi FMU. Ask Super Pilun or Cadet Lee, both of whom have DIY turbos, if Im not mistaken...

If your kit comes w/ an FMU, Id be very worried. Ive been eyeing that low-end TSI kit, but havent gotten an answer from anyone concerning that fuel issue. Id buy the kit otherwise.

yeah just cut and paste this link.

    http://www.turbo-kits.com/corolla_turbo_kits.html

Oh yeah and still, what do you think that would do to the 1zz-fe? I just know that V-tec doesn't like boost all that much and one you Turbo a honda you are looking foreward to a blow engine. VVt-i isn't v-tec, but still seems like it might have some of the same problems, still do you think a Turbo running 6 pounds of boost would kill the overall life of the engine, and do you think I would start running into all kinds of new problems

numerous people have said 6 psi is ok, and others say there doing fine with 10. Though how many people have had there motor turboed at 10 for more than 50 k miles? Id say stay at 6, hell I really wouldn't want to go above 200 on a stock motor.
