1zz Celica parts into my 1zz rolla, Will these work?

Just want to get little bit more hp out of my 01 rolla. (no FI coz I'm too poor for that.) I'm think about the i/h/e, here are some questions.

    1) Since there is no header for our 01 rolla yet, can we use 00+ Celica GT header?

    2) I want to get a catback, but I found that there is no bolt on, and I don't want to cut it coz I want to return it to stock if I need it. What I want is buy another used cat, cut it and put the catback on it. Do you think the 00+ Celica GT cat will fit? or do I HAVE TO get the 01 rolla cat?

    3) What's the pipe size of the 00+ Celica GT cat? Is it bigger than our rolla or they are just same? I think the pipe size of our rolla is only 2" right?

    4) I know Vamp did put the Celica intake manifold and the Celica AEM power pulley kit in his rolla. Does the gain really noticable or just very little?

    5) If I have all the celica intake manifold, header, cat, cat back system, and get the celica ECU, do I have 140hp like the Celica GT? :p

P.S. Please don't tell me to go to Celica forum!

nah I won't say to go to the celica forum. I asked the same question as far as putting a Gt turbo system on a rolla. Technically (Keyword here) you can do it. A 2k+ Celica Gt has the same engine minus that it has more tuning and more sporty parts. As far as gains I have no idea but yeah you can get away with celica gt parts on your rolla.

i dont think the celica exhaust manifold will fit because of clearance issues...but dont take my word for it...the celica TB will help u lose power unless u r turbo.

there is a catback for r car...it's the AlphaWerks catback

putting the celica parts there wont be much of a difference, and may actually lose HP, @least w/ the celica TB, Vamp lost like 7 hp...dont use the celica parts on your rolla unless u r turbo, but there r far better parts than using celica parts

puttin the celica cat. on isnt goin to help anything really

also a celica catback system will not work on a rolla, totally differ layout

Celica ECU is doable, but reverse wont work and there r problems that r a hassle

I would suggest gettin the Injen or ELP intake, AlphaWerks catback exhaust, and RacingSolution is workin on a design for r header

rainbowstar - to #5, yes. good luck gettin the I/E manifolds to fit, the ECU will work if your car was originally automatic but converted to 5spd. get an aftermarket catback system, go w/ 2.25" piping and good muffler such as hayame/TRD/magnaflow. the AEM pulley fits exactly the same on the celi/rolla, the gains are VERY minimal.

you will lose power putting on the gt intake manifold and throttle body. Unless you have an e-manage or safc to tune.

i have a generic muffler than was welded on to my stock exhaust piping. i simply got the stock exhaust cut off and the new muffler went in its place. If i got the alphawerks cat-back exhaust, would it make much of a difference? what exactly is the diff between a cat-back and just a muffler anyways? sorry to butt in... :)

So this is a VERY BAD idea to use celica parts in the rolla, LOL. :p
I think my next steps are AlphaWerks catback and magnaflow muffler.
Thanks for all the input guys!

I have the alphawerks catback exhaust...i posted some sound clips somewhere on vvti, just do a search, its sounds good, but if cops harass u 4 it, then u can bolt the TRD Muffler directly onto the alphawerks piping...somethin i also did and the TRD muffler is legal...but I don't think magnaflow has a bolt on muffler for r gen Rolla, it would have to be cut and welded into the piping...i would just stick w/ the alphawerks muffler that comes w/ the system or throw the TRD on it

Well with the alphawerks catback, you will see a slight increase inpower due to bigger piping and mandrel bent piping(piping which has no crush bends, which means it has smooth bends), which means better airflow, which in hand means more HP...the catback exhaust system starts from the catalytic converter and on out through the muffler, while just the muffler upgrade is keeping stock piping (which is more restrictive which means less air flow).

    yes that is correct

    Another question here.
So if I have injen short ram intake, AlphaWerks catback, and magnaflow muffler (or TRD muffler), how many hp/tq gain will I have? something around 5-10hp?

yeah get the AlphaWerks cat-back like said before..Its a really nice exhaust and it has a deep slight rumble to it and u will feel the gain specially since u dont really run a cat so its practically st8 piping...but its nice...shame ur not in miami Imma prob end up selling it since Im getting a newer rolla thats already manual..fuq doing the conversion thats to much of a headache and money...and also down time. RollaRyder get the clip up I wanna hear how it sounds..

140 hp is stock on europeans and japanese corolla. ours is different because of the quaility of the fuel here in the US. yet the celica gt uses different size intake and exhaust. in terms its just fitmate issue that creates hp differents.

The piping from the cat-back isn't really restrictive until after the resonator. Piping b/w the 1st and 2nd cat is like 3", then from the 2nd cat to the resonator is around 2.75". After the resonator it bottlenecks down to around 1.75", which is too restrictive, especially with crush bends. I just had a magnaflow muffler with new 2.5" piping installed from the resonator-back. Does just fine by me.
