    It won't fit without lots of custom fabrication. Make sure you have an experienced mechanic take care of that for you. It's not anything a few ordinary people can do easily. Motor mounts will have to custom most likely and a header will not fit. That will have to be custom as well.

    was it a modded 1zz that was blown? because i rarely hear someone blowing a 1zz.. in a corolla. DOT is an exception.. i'm still trying to figure out how his motor was blown

    my motor had intake headers exhaust. it blew. so motor mounts doesn't fit. and if i were 2 get headers it wouldn't fit either. i have a few mechanics that do frankenstein work but not 2 sure how 2 get it done. i would of thought its a bolt on because my friend turned his gt into a 5 speed gt. ( him using the 1zz trans on the 2zz)

    Hmmm I had no idea you could match a 2zz to a 5 speed. I have no idea how the power distribution would be though. I'm not sure if that would be the optimal setup since the 2zz is power top heavy. However, I don't think it might make a huge difference. The only difference I can point out would be slightly lower mpg due to the loss of a gear.

    btw, it's not a question of grammar. It's common sense. Your car is a inline 4 therefore it only has one header. If you had a V6/I6 or V8, then you could correctly say that you have headers. btw, why does being from Hawaii warrant bad grammar? The schooling system sucks?

    well basicallly. ever heard of broken up english. we're the only ones who speaks of it . btw im tryna get a hold of my frend of the 5 speed 2zz cuz i wanna c how the power band is. i just wanna throw in a engine that works. not 2 shure if the motor mounts fit though. iwas thinking if the 2zz can bolt on to the 9th gens, the matrix and also celica gt. there could b a possiblilty that it could bolt on to the 8th gen.but its just a matter of fitment that i'm afraid of.

    Are you a recent immigrant(fob)? A large majority out of country people speak broken English. A few exceptions include poor areas or bad communities. Not trying to insult or to be stereotypical. My parents speak broken English with a really bad accent and yet I speak, write, and read English flawlessly. It has to do with upbringing. But header from headers isn't a grammatical error. It's common sense and knowledge.

    It still sounds like a lot of custom work.

    People usually go turbo instead of a 2zz swap. Corollacustomz has a few running around. Check the forum out.

    <br />
    Also lets keep the comments to ourselves, this board as all sort of people on it, so bad grammar and broken english is gonna happen

    i was thinking about it but then i didn't want to put an older engine inside. besides no one in hawaii would of think a 2zz could go in a 7th gen. i'd say only a hand of 7th gens are into the import scene.also to the fact i have a guy giving me the whole engine + trans+ ecu for 2k with 63k is pretty deal to me.
