this would be a pretty difficult swap, and expensive unless you can get a wrecked XRS or GTS for cheap. a 4agze would swap in too, but its an older motor and your state might not allow it. the same goes for 3sgte swaps

I just wanted to know what type of engine swap I could do with this car. I have been reading and some people are saying the you can drop the 2zze which I believe that is the XRS motor and also the GTS motor and also the Lotus Elise motor. Is that true? How much do they run for? New or used? If you do this swap would I have to change the stock 4speed automatic transmission. Are there any other motor that I could swap to that would allow more mods?

believe it or not man the 1zz-fe's can hold up pretty good amounts of boost under stock conditions. The Corolla is a lightweight car man, take advantage of it and just boost the motor u have now, it might not be no Evo or SRT but believe me it's worth it when people are too embarrased to pull up cause they've just been smoked by a Corolla lol

if you want to seriously mod a car, however, go with an older toyota, a honda, or a nissan. the newer toyotas are so expensive in terms of parts.
