    1990 Toyota Corolla GT-S

I found a 1990 Toyota Corolla GT-S for sale. Body is in real good shape from the pics I've seen, I'm gonna call the guy tomorrow for more info. on the car and go see it on my next days off. Anyways, it would be a nice car because of the 130HP 4AGE engine in it. So im wondering, what should I look out for on that car? Any problem areas, etc?

Cant find any AE86's around here, quite rare... the real reason I want the AE92 GTS is for the 4AGE Smallport that is in the one that is being sold... its being sold cheap...

I own a 90 celica with 250,000 miles, and it still runs amazing. So far the only trouble I've had with it was the front end. Started eating wheel bearings and was geting some strong vibrations so I pretty much rebuilt the entire front end suspension. Just make sure that the car has a strong front end. That motor will run until the wheels fall off, and keep on chuggin.

Yeah, i know those Toyota engines are usually near bullet proof (with regular maintenance)... car is already sold though :( would of been a fun little car too... buddy of mine had a 89 SR-5 (105hp isntead of 130hp in the GTS) and it was a real fun little car... oh well...

Even Toyota/Yamaha high revving engines ( i.e variants of 2ZZ GE engine) have an exceptional record for reliability ( almost as good as the Toyota low revving engines) considering the engine works so hard at speeds where most of the other one's blow up and considering inherenty high revving engines are not reliable and need frequent part replacements.
