    17s fender rubbing

    Hey guys, hows it going!?
after a couple of years willing to have some rims, I finally got ones for my '95. I got some Fittipaldi Avus (older models) on 17" for extremely cheap.

The only downside is their weight and that the front tires are rubbin on my fenders and the left front tire is rubbing with the inner chasis when I cut the steering all the way to the right. Tires are 215/45, I don't know the rim offset, maybe is way off, I'll have to check tomorrow the specs.

My question is, do you think with some 205/40 tires this rubbing can be decreased?

BTW, my car is lowered 1.5" aprox. I tried rolling fenders and even cutting some off, but still it scrapes a bit. On the rear I did some inner fender cut and they are fine. What do you guys suggest, except for selling the rims hehehe

Thanks and thumbs up in advance!

Ps: I'll try to have some pics up, but my camera is broken, I'll need to borrow one.

I have 205/40 tires with 17" rota rims and a 2" drop and the tires rub on the inside only when the wheel is turned all the way left or right. After awhile you just stop turning your wheel all the way then you wont have to worry about it.

Ok I'll try the 205/40s on the front and see how it goes. I actually cutted the rear fenders (inner borders) to about 0.2" and tires only rubbed when car was fully loaded in passengers and luggage.
