11 second or faster streetable corolla? possibly! friends car

friend of mine had a 467whp (all wheel drive) 91 eagle talon tsi..... on the track he ran a whole 15.... but that's because when he hit 3rd gear he shattered the center diff and locked the transmisison up..... parted the car out, and i convinced him to go with a GZE.... he first bought an ae86, which ended up being a bad idea..... then he got an ae92 gts for cheap.....

he bought an already rebuilt gze smallport block... but that wasn't good enough... he went ahead and stripped it back down, had it acid dipped, machined, he knocked in new freeze plugs, painted it, and rehoned it...





balanced gze crank (42mm) and exedy flywheel (balanced as well)..... crank was only 3grams off to start off with however



he's working on stripping the car down (fully)..... he'll be using a large t4 (original plan was a t04e w/ a 56 trim compressor)... but the one he's deciding on now is larger..... he'll also be using a 60 shot of nitrous to spool it up down low, the head is in getting ported & polished, exhaust ports opened up, and oversized valves put in.... it will be running off of 740cc injectors, a walbro 255 fuel pump, and the megasquirt/edis4 setup.

I just remembered that I got a video of a 405HP Corolla doing 11.9 on the 1/4. Don't know what engine he was powered by. Anyone else seen it?

that's the 4 door ae92 hatch in australia...... he's hoping to beat that time....
