Engine 05 corolla cai extra tube.... what for???

05 corolla cai extra tube.... what for???

well i finally put my injen cai on my car tonight everything fit in fine excpt that there was an extra tube that i have no idea where to put. On the 03-04 i think this is the tube from the engine bay to the throttle body, anyway was just wondering what it was for and if its ok just to stick a filter on it and let it suck air as thats all i could figure it was doing.
