does anybody know for the 04' corolla S, is the Short ram intake better? or the Cold Air Intake better?

i only have a drop in filter, or should i just take the resonator box for the intake out??

what would keep my torque? and what would gain hp? i want the best of both worlds

Cold air intake is the best choice man, colder air and a couple hp raise. The short ram air just sucks in the hot air in the engine bay which leads to loss of power actually. If you're interested on an intake I have a brand new cosmo CAI still in the box

CAI = More Top End Power, Felt Midrange to Higher RPMs

SRI = More Torque Power, Felt Low to Midrange RPMs

I, myself prefer the SRI because I like to have more power for takeoff since my car is gonna be heavy soon with my car audio stuff...

thank you so much for explaining it, i only have the drop in filter from k&n and i think it only gets like 1 hp or 2 if its cold outside

ya, im thinking SRI, and i also heard that cold air you have to take out your fog lights for the corolla??? or am i trippin?

and also on my old civic i remember my cold air intake was really long, it went down into the front bumper, and it was two piece so when it rained i just took off the second piece and slapped the filter and made SRI, BUT i had a black plastic like shield to protect it from the engine, andything like that? Two piece, with shield

whats elp?'s site sorry bout all the questions, but ive searched and cant find it

I think the cosmo I offered you has 2 parts so you can make it a SRI as well and I don't think you need to take off the fog light with this one either.

nice dude, thanks a lot, youve helped me out a lot.

im for sure taking the intake off your hands tomorrow, gimme a message tomorrow, but the short shifter, i dunno, im thinking it wont help at all.

and by the way, i just got some piping done on my rolla, 2 1/4" all the way through...and i took off the resonator, and its freakin loud and fast, and i raced my old Si which i sold to my friend, and smoked the shit out of it, and i know for sure that civic i had put down 160 TO THE WHEELS!!! it was just a fully built B16 w/ i.h.e. but fast as hell
