    04 corolla headers

    Hi,

Is there any aftermarket headers for 03-04 corollas? I found one in the v power and also in ebay. Has anyone installed or bought any of these?

There are some headers available on eBay that look pretty much identical to the EL Prototypes headers. Both have an O2 sensor fixing in the stock position, both are 4-to-1 headers that bolt-on to the stock exhaust piping, and both are not CARB registered. CARB registration is very expensive. While these units do not pose any emissions problems, they won't pass a visual inspection. At least that is if you live in a state with as stringent restrictions as California.

EL Prototypes is a trusted manufacture. They're not too far from ToySport and they've been in business for almost just as long as ToySport, so they know what they're doing.

If you would rather go with something that is 50-state legal (CARB registered), then you'll have to wait awhile for the upcoming DC Sports 4-to-1 headers. Release date and pricing are still TBA, but they ARE working on it, along with a rear tie bar (don't know how that's going to work on our Corollas, but hey, if they're making it...)

i got mine off of ebay.. but its not the one that is alwas posted up there. This one was up for like 20 mins when i found it, and i did "buy it now" for $225. The guy had bought it and wrecked his car. I dont know where he got, nor do I know how to get in touch with KBD directly. Sorry I cant help more. But for what its worth, i am quite happy with it, and I've heard the "ebay" header is KBD. But I dont know for sure.

Cool...I'm going to install them this weekend. It should help my rolla exhale with the S/C. FYI: Toyota quote me $30 for the header gasket and $50 for the collector gasket. Thanks Clay
