    03 Radio Re-install

I just had to re-install the stock radio in my 03 CE (CD and Casstte Combo). I plugged in it (ant, and 2 plugs), and nothing happened. The display doesn't lit up neither do any of the buttons work. I inserted a cd, and it started playing though I could not control the volume or work the buttons. The player did not get dropped or get wet.

where was the radio stored? If it was stored in a dusty environment, then the two ribbon cables (the right one to be exact) inside the radio need to be cleaned, that is the one that controls all that....

Stored in bedroom closet first ( dry, no dust); then in a box (wrapped with t-shirts) for the last 6 months.

If u use the dimmer switch, do the radio lights respond to that or do they stay on the same intensity all the time?

Ok that means that the right ribbon harness (inside the radio) is kaputt, when I was changing the LED color on my radio, and not plugging in the right ribbon harness to the circuit board that what ur describing happened.... now if u feel comfy with taking the radio apart do it and make sure that the ribbon harness didnt come unplugged...
