Engine 03 engine to 01

    03 engine to 01

    i need to know if a 03 1zzfe engine will work in a 01 corolla and i know i would have to change intake and exhaust manifolds

    The only major change would be due to the change from MAP to MAF.

    nah, 01 1zz-fes had maf sensors as well.

    so fill the motor work minus the intake and exhaust i need to know quick cuz my car is down and i can only find a 03 motor for cheap

    i was gonna maybe swap ecu's as well but i think the pins are different

    For mine, it was a straight swap out. As long as you have a Manual Tranny. I dont know about auto's. I've heard mixed issues.

    Here is a link to pics of my car. The only change they had to make was to the
    radiator but thats because I kept everything from the new engine. I could have traded out the intake manifold and not had to worry about it but I like the newer manafolds.
