    03 Corolla Rear Disc Conversion

I got my car with the rear disc conversion done last week by Dr Tweak down in Savannah, GA. This is probably the best investment and modification you can make in your car and I must say it is all worth the money and time to get it done professionally. The car now feels more positive as far as braking performance and you could actually feel it having more bite than the stock drum brakes without pressing hard on the pedal. Did some heavy panic brake test and the rear disc brakes have yet to lock up even without changing the brake PV. Had a problem with the e-brake due to cable issues but with some modifications Dr Tweak got it to work just like factory.

Visit his place (www.southerncarcustoms.com) down in Savannah, GA or give him a call. They do excellent work.

DT, I’m still thinking of the auto/manual conversion but I need to get my Supra back into action first with the 1JZ swap, so don't forget about it.

That web site isn't exactly user friendly. It doesn't even list brakes or brake kits of any kind. How much did the job run?

I emailed Dr. Tweak two weeks ago to see if he still sells 98-02 rear disc conversion kits and haven't heard from him.

Try www.getswapped.com. The whole job cost $650.00 parts and labor. It is worth it.
