    03 5-spd....general observation...

    Anyone noticed how close 4th and 5th gears are on the manual transaxle? Anyone also noticed that there's a bigger difference in the ratio between 3 and 4 than 1-2, 2-3, or 4-5? 5th almost feels like it could stand to have a smaller ratio than it does. I think it's 0.775 and 4th is around 0.85 and 3rd is around 1.3xx. Just thought it was kind of odd when you really think about it. Anyone know why Toyota did it this way?
