    02 Corolla..Wierd Problem need help!!

For a few months now, it used to happen rarely but now is becoming more frequent...heres the problem. When I pull up to a stop sign/light my car NORMALLY Idles at 600-650. I don't know if thats suppose to be normal so let me know. But sometimes its starts sputtering going between 450-650 and the lights will dim when it idles low like that and its would die but I kick it into neutral and give it some gas to save it. I don't know what the problem might be. Maybe ALT??? I have an Injen SRI installed. The batters is like 310 CCA and 150 LOAD. I don't know if that is a problem. I hope someone has a solution.

i actually have the same problem as u, i have a 00, i tried cleaning my MAF sensor but that didn't really do anything except made the car feel better, but it did not do anythign in terms of this problem. I can't duplicate the problem, i tried hard breaking, normal breaking, its just randomly it does it

I'm guessing its something to do with the intake, i'm gonna put my stock air box back on, and take it to toyota for my final visit in my rolla experience to the dealer station, my extended warranty is up this may, and my inspection is due march, maybe they can tell me whats wrong with it, along with other minor problems i got

So i'm gonna take it to toyota and get an inspection done, along with an alighnment, hopefully they can get my alighnment perfect, after all it is TRD springs, i shouldn't have a problem with my camber or anything

but ya i have a new energizer battery in my car, has the same numebrs as a optima yellow top, except for one, it has like 20 more CCA, but thats bout it, so idk wat the problem is nor can i duplicate it to figure out how to fix it.

PS: before i used to think it was due to my amp, but even though i had a 1.2 farad tsunami cap, i still thought it made that rough idle cause of that, but now since i have it all gone except for my headunit and the speakers, it shouldn't be a problem, and i also have a 8 way 4 guage grounding kit I bought and this: http://www.intakeone.com/Denso/SunHVS.html

    so idk what to do

Well alot more people have the same problem I do...hmm. I don't think its the intake because I had the Stock box on and it still did it. Then Again I could be wrong. I will put the stock box back on tonight and check it.

My RPMS are usually about 1300 from a cold start because of the Intake. I dunno if either of yours sounds really load from a cold start. But it happens usually just regular driving. so when Its warm I guess.

na, on a really cold day, like today or yesterday or w/e when its 30 degrees, the first second to like 15 seconds the idle is at 2000, then it drops to like 1500ish then drops slowly to the normal 700 or so when the engine temp is at normal

i have the very same problem on my 98. i've also had problems with long cranking times. try cleaning the injectors with some injector cleaner or remove them and place them in some container of that cleaner for better results.
