yeah, try checking your plugs maybe its fouled? no harm just to check.
I had the same problem too recently; but it was contributed to putting to much gas additive which fouled my plugs.

Can you describe the problem a little better? I am not sure what you mean by "if i just hold down the gas it'll rev to like 2800 or so and loops".

if i step on the gas rpm will drop low then rise up a little...if i hold the pedel down it'll rev up then loop like i got a vaccum leak ...like im steping on the gas and my car does want to go..wont rev higher then 2800

If you are not idling bad or experiencing any engine roughness when trying to accelerate I don't think this is going to be a vacuum line issue.

If the engine is smooth when trying to accelerate but the car is really slow it sounds like you have a torque converter/tranny issue. It is possible you broke/stretched a wire between the ECU and tranny while working on something else under the hood.

My car does this and it basically was two separate problems on mine. The MAF sensor in the airbox was all plugged up, and my front o2 sensor is shot. I cleaned the sensor up and it got a little better, but I still need to get the o2 done

first... go to the dealership and buy some oem denso plugs. you're supposed to be using IRIDIUM. 2nd, fix the MAF sensor. my friend's matrix came across this problem too. you should be able to pick up a good working one from a junkyard for roughly 50 bucks.

That is the MAF. Soapy water and a cloth no... get some spray electrical contact cleaner at autozone. Do you have a CEL? The code would be P0170

10 bucks says it's your MAF.
