    harshness when hitting bumps is almost unaffected by swaybar thickness. it's solely determined by the spring & strut component of the suspension.

    swaybars have to do more with controlling lateral weight transfer... or reducing body roll.

    Whiteline engineers probably dont see the need of increasing the diameter of the front sway bar. Pilun is correct, the OEM fsb is 22mm (perhaps even a little larger) but what's different between the whiteline and OEM is the whiteline is a solid bar and OEM is hollow, this wouldn't do much with affecting performance but the whiteline is infact more heavy duty and may be able to more capiable of resisting a bending moment in statics.

    Something else whiteline could've MAYBE done is shorten the outboard arms on the sway bar. A sway bar is a torson spring and the value of the stiffness can be calculated by the total 'arm' length vs. the 'bar' length. By shortening the effective arm length would reduce the leverage ratio thus increasing the 'stiffness.' This part is a theory though, I'd ask whiteline to get the real answer.
