    To breast feed or not?

    http://www.nbc4.com/family/10361229/detail.html

Woman was breast feeding on a delayed flight. Attendent came by and asked for her to cover the baby with a blanket. Mother felt she should not have to since her breast wasn't really exposed and she was very discreet about it.

    My question to you...

Breast feeding is a part of life. If you were on a flight (or anywhere else for that matter) and someone next to you or in the next row was breast feeding and was discreet about it, would you want them to stop? cover up with a blanet? or let her boob hang low and wobble to the ground?

And for the parents on this forum. How do you feel about this? How would you react if someone asked you nicely to cover up the baby while your wife breast fed?

I feel that if she's being discreet about it and is not showing her boob, then so be it. What if a lady walked onto the plane with a very low cut shirt that shows major boobage! I mean would the flight attendent asked her to cover them up? I mean if she's being discreet then why bother the mother? let alone kick them off the plane?!

why not breast feed.....its healthy for the baby....any immunizations the mother has had will also be acquired by the baby if theyre breast feed...plus, its more nutritious to the baby...and like you said breast feeding is a part of life that we should all just learn to respect....its like going to a gym dressing room....people walk around buck naked all the time to and from the shower...you dont just say hey man cover that sh*t up (altho there have been plenty of times where ive wanted to, lol)...instead you just extend them the common courtesy of not looking or expressing disgust cuz its just a part of being a member at a public gym...why would u be starring at another person's package anyways, haha....back to the topic!

Just be discreet about it.......the mother should respect those around her, and the people around her should respect her in return.

My wife breastfed my son, and shes currently breast feeding our daughter. Saves tons of money, and the bond between the mother and child is like no other. Thats in addition to the health benefits as well.
