    Flood - Engine Stalled

My area is currently experiencing some HEAVY HEAVY rainfall. The soil has saturated and as a result, run-off has occurred on the ground surface.

Anyway, on my way to the university, the incoming entrance had a huge puddle... i thought i could make it after seeing some other cars...but when i was going through, some of the water actually splashed and reached the top of the hood..and thats when the engine shut off on me.

i saw a little bit of white smoke coming out of the cracks from the sides of the hood..but the car started fine again..

am i looking at the beginning of the end of this car?

If ur lucky, the white smoke prolly came from the water cooling off the engine....if ur lucky....

You will be just fine...If your car was fucked, you would not have been able to start it again. Or if when you started it, you would have done damage to the motor. Just for your sake keep an eye on the vital fluids under the hood and make sure nothing is getting milky. Well power steering fluid/oil/transmission fluid/brake fliud get water in them, they become like a milky paste.
