    OJ Did It

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061115/ap_on_en_tv/simpson_interview

Fox plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted, the network said.

The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.

Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, Fox said.

"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."

The interview will air days before Simpson's new book, "If I Did It," goes on sale Nov. 30. The book, published by Regan, "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed."

In a video clip on the network's Web site, an off-screen interviewer says to Simpson, "You wrote 'I have never seen so much blood in my life.'"

"I don't think any two people could be murdered without everybody being covered in blood," Simpson responds.

Simpson, who now lives in Florida, was acquitted in a criminal trial of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was later found liable in 1997 in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the Goldman family.

Messages left with Simpson and his attorney Yale Galanter were not immediately returned.

he shouldn't be doing things like this. If he didn't do it, then let it be. this just makes everyone think twice about him.

I'm not court expert but can they bring him back to court although he was aquitted, should he slip and say something that can be held against him?

Ive read lots of conflicting information on that.

Some say that he can be charged Federally.

I think he's already slipped up by writing this damn book. Who in their right mind would do this? WHY??? lol

I'm guessing he is trying to get it off of his chest without actually "confessing: to the crime.

A really stupid move IMO. If he feels he needs to confess, then he should do just that.

Ummm, he is guilty, he knows he is guilty and he knows he has already been acquitted. So now he is going to capitalize on it :D

I dunno what he's thinkin....its not like he has the luxury of double jeopardy and has nothing to lose if he makes the book, lol...I think he was running low on money and thought, hey why dont I write a controversial book, get my status back up, and start bankin again...

It's a controversial move, but it's all about the money. I'm sure he's talked to a lawyer about the repercussions of the book.

I agree that its only about the money. He knows people will watch it so he's exploiting the tragic death of his wife. Guilty or not he should be taken out back and hung for this stunt.

Someone mentioned that maybe he just wants to get it off his chest, but he wouldn't have to get a book deal to say "I'm guilty"

Fox has decided NOT to air the interview from what was said on the radio. They said they got feedback that alot of people would not watch it because they did not want to see him make a profit off of this or something to the sorts.

People will buy his book though. The same people that would buy his book would most likely want to watch this as well.

I think it was just an excuse for covering up the fact that the negative backlash wouldve been too great.

I saw where his publisher said that all profits from this book will go to OJ Simpson's children. Why? I mean seriously why? She said it was because she knows what its like to be a battered wife and wants to help those that have experienced it. Wouldn't it be moral to hand the money to charities or people that would actually need it? I can't possibly imagin OJ and his children aren't living a relatively decent life style (what with the fact he hasn't paid the Goldman family the 33.5 million he was found liable for--he must have it stashed somewhere)

How would the proceeds NOT be eligible to go directly to the Goldmans?

Good question, not everyone thinks on the level of you and me E.

Luckily it looks like it was canned.

One of Fox's local management guys pulled the series (before Fox themselves pulled it) on the grounds that "regardless if he murdered them or not he is still exploiting a murder."
