    Govener?

So I have a 98 rolla, is there a govener in it?

Because I was driving on the highway with some friends and well after I hit 100, my friend in his car said it looked like my car hit a brick wall and just stopped. And from there on it was very hard to accelrate at a fast rate.

My car is auto by the way, incase that might have anything to do with it.

But is it true what my friend was saying, that once it like hits 100, it kinda slows down or my car just can't take it.

think it's just a misperception of the speed on their part. With my 5-speed the acceleration doesn't decrease much from 100 all the way up to the limiter.

i HATE limiters, so i by passed it. Originally the car would not go even or barely to 100 stock w/ the 18's, but now it goes well over what it marks.

Hey how did you bypass the speed limiter? Does it make your car run better at all speeds?

My car does not slow past 100 it keeps going, the only reason why it stops is cause the govener kicks in followed shortly by rev limiter. Thats in a 4 speed corolla

On my Sentra which is a 5 speed 4th gear tops out at 90, have not gone faster cause I dont trust the tires.

Wont make it run any better. It will just be able to go faster than 115mph. I dont see the point because unless your going downhill, you probably wont hit those speeds and if you do, it will take some time to get that fast.

hook it up to the main computers, the same used to tune the computers, and get the main system drive, and you can tune it with that.

you don't re-write it entirely, you just re-program certian settings.
