    Dilemma

:superconf heres the thing, i want tein s. techs (ebay good deal) but the problem is 1. maybe new struts idk and 2. muffler scratchage. right now my car is normal lift and every time i back out of my drive way it scrapes and it sux, but if i were to get the s. techs my tip would explode due to friction so the thing is, get s. techs and remove muffler, or screw s. techs and keep muffler, and/or what do you guys think i should do?!?!:superconf

haha funny. here is what i did since my car hits every damn time i go up my driveway. take it to a muffler shop and have them lift the muffler higher into the frame and modify the tip a bit so it wont burn your bumper or you could cut it out but that is a tricky situation. my car rarely hit on the exhaust now but it was worth it since i had to hear this noise every day until i fixed it. my car has about an inch or so of travel in the front and a bit more than two in the rear, what you see in the sig is higher than i have it now.

Be careful about ordering S. Tech's from eBay. Google "counterfeit s tech springs" and click on the link from Tein about it. Many companies out there are selling counterfeits that are nothing but cheap replicas and can break. Be very careful about which ones you order. I suggest ordering them from a reputable company. Also, go ahead and buy new struts, too. Stockies won't handle a 1.5-2" drop well.

I have placed a sticky in the suspension section concerning the counterfeit Tien springs.
    Please see:
    Conterfeit Tien Springs

Also, since this isn't really a problem, I have moved it to the suspension forum.

Re-direct from the problem and maintaince forums will expire on Friday. :)

Good call, Deebs. When I read that a while back, it really made me not want Tein springs anymore. That's why I'm just saving up for the Ksports. :D

well from what everyone said, its a little help thanks a bunch, but hopefully if anyone else reads this thread with a solution, type away! lol but yeah i was also thinking of getting a new muffler tip thats a tad smaller idk what to do at this point....the counterfit teins, yeah i heard all about it but this guy (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=200030422683&rd=1) from what i hear is no fake and is fantastic so its a matter of time till i get those, but anyways what struts do you guys think would work fine, and any links to them would be sweet

man i wish i never hit, but since our property is 6 feet elevated than the rest of the neighborhood it hit all the damn time, my mother wanted to make a statement so our house is the only one that is bigger than the rest, and its only one my damn car hits every time, so every now and then i will park over at my neighbors house.

Ive bought from that seller before a few times already. Really good. You can most likely trust him.

yeah i do, if i take it at a right angle the muffler hits and vice versa, also the front two hooks hit if i have more than two people in the car, i have less than 4 inches in the front and back. why do you think my car has the the very most 2 inches of suspension travel and the 18' rims don't help any, neither do the 215/35ZR 18 tires, but the car still looks good enough for me.
