    Exhaust sound bytes

Does anyone out there have some exhaust sound bytes for a 02+ corolla?
i just want to hear the difference between a just a muffler, axle back, and cat back.

any recommendations on exhausts? i want to hide the muffler under the body...i dont want to have it sticking out...i dont think it looks good on the corolla.

    thanks!

The best sounding exhause is the TRD exhaust. Deep and not too loud.

i may be wrong but that looks like a custom job. it appears to be a n1 style muffler positioned back further with a custom made tailpipe to let the exhaust out closer to the bumper. in that case you would be able to get something like that made.

Mine has been mistaken for a V6 before, so it can't be too bad.. :p

    It's a 2.25" catback (stock cat), resonator, straight-through muffler.

I agree with you on that point, unless we have a cutted rear lip around the tip but I've never seen it actually... just thinking about it. Here's what I'll probably do (9thgen:( ELP or JP header (maybe DC sports if it 'ever' comes out...at what price anyway...), high flow cat or resonator, full custom 2.25 piping, custom clamp so that the TRD exhaust fits bolt on.

Otherwise I'll buy the altis lip kit from vpower.net, cut the lip and get a straight through muffler with header, HF cat or res and 2.25 piping.

Frost, you should jump on that magnaflow catback I told you about. That N1 style that you posted, I used to have it on my corolla before I had my current one and it can be really loud and annoying. But that's on you dawg!
