H2 Hummer vs. Toyota Corolla = horrible crash

apparently the Hummer was doing 50mph or so when it hit this Corolla, killing instantly Venezuela's best swimmer Mr. Rafael Vidal

i read somewhere that business owners with h2's get a huge tax write off, all the money they spent on gas and maintenance returned to them or something like that, i know ive heard of some corporate loophole to getting these things free/cheap, i just cant remember exactly what it was, ne1 hav an idea?

It's because it's being used as a vehicle for the business. That's why they get the tax break. There's tons of tax breaks, there's supposed to be one for boats. If you have at least one meeting on your corporate boat, you can write it off.

There was a law that would let business people write it all off and then they revoked it, but yea SUV drivers are all a buch of stuch up a-holes. Almost got rearend by some a-hole tonight in a H2, he can up to my bumper then started to beep his horn and flash his lights till I moved over, it was raining all day here.

Don't know the actual law, but i think generally, if it's used in some way for the business, you can write it off. This can apply to almost any business owner.

yea that's what i've heard too

and yes i also HATE SUVs. Mainly because 95% of people who drive them have no idea what they're doing driving something that big, they can't maneuver it, can't judge stopping distances properly, and sure as hell can't park them. Sure, a few of em are good drivers - but it's a small small minority.

Most of the people in this thread that are against SUVs live in areas with no snow.

Move to an area with snow, and we'll see if you want an SUV or not.

SUV's really aren't *that* good in the snow. Their 4wd might help them when starting from a stop, but once you HAVE to stop with that extra couple 1000 pounds and wide tires, they don't have any advantage and will take a lot more time to stop than a car. I'd much rather buy a subaru than an SUV.

SUV's come useful in well some weather conditions plus when u have a pretty big family, I don't hate anythin against them cause I'll end up buyin one when I get married and have kids u kno but as of right now I'm enjoyin the sport car and import flow. Here in Colorado u see lots of vans and SUV's. U see ur typical luxury car here and there u kno...
