Engine pink vs. green coolant

    pink vs. green coolant

    ok look i was in an accident a few months ago. they gave me a new radiator. the radiator has pink coolant in it, but i could of swore there was green coolant in the old radiator before the accident. SO ANYWAYS...the reason i'm asking is this: ever since i got my car fixed the engine cooling fan comes on ALL the time when the car warms up, it comes on like EVERY 30 seconds. Now call me crazy but i remember the fan coming on rarely before the accident. the temperature gauge reads right in the middle where it usually is when it warmed up, but i'm wondering why does the fan keep coming on? is it because the radiator is hot because it has PINK fluid instead of GREEN?? I don't know. Or is it because i need a new thermostat. the coolant level is fine, by the way. PLEASE HELP ME OMFG i am so annoyed. thank you in advance........

    toyota genuine coolant is red. aftermarket is green.
    the toyota stuff is rated at 80K miles in 04 and previous models

    toyota 'ultra long life coolant' is good for 100K in 05+ models.

    as for the fan... maybe they stuck in the wrong thermostat? could be a ton of things. some cars have a seperate temperature sensor for the fan from the rest of the car, maybe it's shot (if the rolla has one?!?)

    put what ever color came stock in your car... YOU CANNOT MIX THE TWO!!! green is 3 year, red (pink, orange) is 5 year, if you do happen to mix the 2 you'll have to do a coolant flush on your car easy enough to do , open up the petcock and let it all drain out, remove the top radiator hose at the engine and poor fresh water down it untill it comes out clear, re insert the hose on the engine and fill with what ever coolent you want, I'm fairly sure they did that when they put the new radiator in so no worries there, just an FYI
