    I'm hating toyota right now...

I've installed systems before but never had an issue until now. Yesterday I decided to install the Bazooka Tube in my car. I had everything ready and I even bought a dremel cause a regular drill would have not fit until the driver side.

Well I failed to look at first and saw that there was no space to drill a hole on the drivers side for the power wire. Then I look on the passenger side and still no luck. cause there was either tubing on the outside that wouldn't let me get to the other side or there was something in the way on the inside of the car. thanks toyota! lol

FINALLY after about an 45 minutes I decided to remove the plastic part that is used to help drain water. At this point I had all door sills removed, glove compartment, plastic cover to wipers, wipers and center console removed.

I decided to take a shot and drill a hole next to the air vent cause from the inside I saw there was nothing there. IT WORKED! lol. So i ran the power wire across the firewall and into this hole (I gotta caulk it up a bit so no water gets in). Finally got the powerwire through the hole and down the passanger side. I then work on the remote wire. That was easy to do. I finally finished the power and remote wiring 3 hours later.

I now have to go install the damn tube and connect the ground and speaker wires. Hopefully my life won't be hell trying to do that as well.

So in the process I managed to:
    1) scrape the hell out of my hands, which sux for me cause I had to be presented an award at work today and my hands were all chopped up.
    2) Somehow blew the light in the glove compartment. Not a big deal for me. I could care less about that.
    3) lost plastic screws for the plastic part that helps drain water. Found one on the floor but the other is no where to be found. Thankfully I had a spare in my toolbox.
    4) Screwed up one of those plast parts for the door sills. the one that pops into the hole. It slid out of the door sill and I can't get it out. so now I gotta dremel it out cause pliers won't work.

    5) lose my mind. Never thought it would be such a pain in the ass to do this.

    /rant

You're modifying a car in a way that it wasn't meant to be... its not Toyota's fault... it would be impossible to design their cars to be easy to modify for every possible scenario...

I've got a nice looking gap in my firewall for any aftermarket stuff I need to run. I ran the power and ground wires for my Citizen Band in less than 5 minutes.

lol. I was being sarcastic about it. I know they can't do that. Every toyota I've dealt with was easy to work with. This one was a bit different.

There wasn't one in the drivers side that i could reach. The one on the passanger side looked a little too small for me to squeeze the wire thru. I did think of this though!

True Toyotas are not very aftermarket friendly. My buddy's subarus has 2-3 extra holes with rubber plugs to route all kinds of extra wires int the cabin.

On my rolla, it took a while but I found a spot next to the bolt in location for the throttle pedal.. I took a 1" hole saw to it and now I have enough room for my 1/0 gauge wire for the battery relocation + other stuff.
