aftermarket sound system

    aftermarket sound system

    hmm when i turn on my speakers, it says FAILURE on the head unit.

    when i turn off my car, some static is heard for about 1-1.5 sec on the rear right speaker..

    what is wrong?

    That "Failure" can't be a good thing... My car (older Sony HU) will do the static thing when I turn it off too..

    it could be some grounding issues cause that's usually screws up with a system. I know I had issues with grounding cause I had static also and then got it all fixed after I got it grounded right.

    Its due to the wiring of the speaker, or the wire harness connected to the headunit. I just fixed my friends wire harness cause when her dumbass cousin installed it, the wires came undone, and it kept saying Err 51 or something. Works great now. Hope this helps.
