    Rocket powered Licoln river jump

    Check this crazy video out. Made in 1976 - attempt to jump across a river in a rocket powered 1972 Lincoln Continental up a 85' ramp and needing to get up to 280MPH target speed to make it across. Just get a load of the "aero" addons to the Conti.

    I think no matter what he did, it would be aerodynamically improbable not to mention that he'd have to do a sh*tload of weight balancing...

    That was a pretty wicked video tho..

    Attempt to set the world's record for longest jump - came after the failed attempt of Evel Kinevel's jump over Snake River Canyon in another rocket car. Plus all the publicity of jumping from the Canadian side to the US side in one piece - not sure they completely thought this through completely.
