Anyone know where to find one for the 01 rolla? Ive looked on ebay but found nothing. Found a few places online but dont know how legit they are. Also how many amps does the stock one put out?

The stock one is rated 80A@12V - not sure where to find high output variants, at least from legit places. I used to get H.O. alternators for my GM project cars - 120 to 140AMP - Denso units that were about 15-20% larger than the OEM one. Have to be really careful with these H.O. units - makes ure they list amperage at idle as well as max. The H.O. that show impressive numbers and still fit in the OEM case are probably bogus units - ie. will not charge the battery at idle speeds. You get the higher output from more windings or double wound (makes for a stronger field = more juice). But everything has to be beefed up to compensate - bigger case for physically more wire, heavy duty rectifiers, bigger heatsinks, heavy duty bearings, etc.
