    Removed Emblems but...

The glue is still there. I spent 4 hours using simple green, a hair dryer, and a pressure washer to get it off. Some of it came off but alot of it is still there. Anyone got advice here? I have yet to try Goo Gone. Only thing is that the glue is pretty hard and Im pretty sure it wont make a diference.

I got some help removing mine. I used some adhesive remover and lemon juice, while my friend used regular car polish. The car polish worked better then the GooGone. When you debage, with whatever you use, make sure you wash, rinse, clay then wax your truck.

Use Goo Gone. DO NOT USE SIMPLE GREEN! That stuff is strong! With Goo Gone, just rub it in a bit with a rag and it should come out. but wash the spot afterwards so it doesn't damage the paint.

I read on another forum that a guy found Automotive Goo Gone. I've never seen it, but if u do, then go with that. If not, use the regular Goo Gone.

ARGHH Im pissed as f**k right now. I have blisters all over my fingers trying to remove this s**t. I called up some friends who removed theirs and they came over to help out. They tell me that this is not the kinda glue they had. We go to autozone and they say its epoxy. ARGHHH someone is gonna get seriously f**ked up.

I can barely type cus of all the blisters. I now understand why it took me 4 hours to remove my emblems, because the dumbass body repair man used epoxy to put them back on.

Debadging his car. I used fishing line when I did my truck, and I got some blisters on my hand as well.

I used Simple Green on the inside of my truck to remove an external display that was mounted on my center console. It works very well, and I got the glue off. I wouldn't recommended it externally as it could damage the clear coat on the paint.

I didnt. He told me to use acetone but I was 99% sure it would rip off everything. Dont know what Im gonna do now. Im probably gonna sand down the thicker parts of the expoxy being careful not to hurt the paint and put my emblems back on.

My bumper is screwed up anyways so its gonna have to be painted. Ive got a silver car so its gonna be damn hard to blend it. He mighthave to repaint trunk. He can do it while hes at it. And im not stupid. I didnt buy the acetone nor will I use it. The guy there seemed to be a dumbass anyways. Ive had better experience with people at Walmart than at Autozone.

if you're gonna have the bumper painted, then just wait and have the trunk redone as well. Let them deal with it then. why even bother if you feel you'll need to repaint the trunk anyways?

Take it to a detailing spot and see what they suggest. Maybe they can get it out for you.

I thought I explained that already... Maybe it was CC. The epoxy is very rigid. I kept running my fingers over it to try and loosen it up with goo gone. Lets just say it started to hurt like hell after a while. Most of them are pretty small now.
