1996 chevy blazer, stole it from my sister one day and never gave it back, we bought it new and my dad gave it to her, she never took care of it, so I borrowed it and never gave it back, the first week I had it the radio dook a dump, so I had to get a new on of those, then the intake manifold gasket blew out, but it was a free car so I didn't care... :)

Nah, all downhill (ONE LARGE DOWNHILL) to get it up there with an 80MPH tailwind.

Thank you all, for contributing. It seems there are a lot of YOUNG (I'm only 26) people on this board with the apparent average age being around (as far as I can tell) 23.

Mine was a 1983 Honda Accord SE with 70K miles.

It lasted until around 150K miles and then the rudt just ate it up. It had the leather and sunroof, so it was special to me. Plus the engne sound always made me smile. Not fast, but it had a very precise mechanical engine sound.

Mine was a 1990 chevy lumina. It was a tank......a tank that imploded from within!! Bought it with 112000 miles, and the alternator went, the Overdrive solenoid locked my tranny into overdrive so that it wouldn't run (like trying to start out in 5th gear w/manual), the coolant line corroded to the point where it could be bent and broken by hand, the tranny dropped on my way to spring break (so guess where my money went for spring break?), we found out my back brakes never worked, so we replaced all the pads and rotors, then I moved to Michigan for grad school and the spark plugs and wires needed replacing. After that I decided I needed a car that would be reliable to get me from Ann Arbor back home to WI, so my dad bought my car to help me pay for my Prizm, and uses it to get back and forth to work. And here's the kicker.....he hasn't had a problem with it since buying it from me. Probably because he has buddy christ hanging from rearview, haha.

thats a myth man. Very few of them ever had that problem, and it was only an issue on the 4 Cylinder engines.

first car ever drove and learned to drive in was my moms 1998 Mazada Protege...it was a first time so i was in love with it, but when i got my license my aunt passed down her 2001 toyota corolla with only 35,000 miles on there so it was a brand new baby. now i just turned 18 and i still have her of course with some small mods and waiting for the next step in the project(s)
