    New Car Time

Going this week sometime to look into getting a new car, prob a Scion XA. They only mod will be a TRD Short shifter and maybe a TRD muffler.

If you ask why I am getting a new car already, the corolla is only 4 yrs old and has 107K on it. The reason why is cause my cat convertor needs to be replaced and the wrist pin in the motor is going too.

If I get a new cat. and the car passes emissons in Jan, I will keep the car and put a new motor in it, if not its getting parted out and sold as is. Dunno yet.

Yea its a little out of my budget, I actually like the styling of the XA too.

    I prefer 4 doors over 2 anyways

i would stick with the xA. it is cheaper and has more to offer. the yaris is 17k for the power windows, abs and all the other normal things the xa comes standard with. if you can hold out another year, wait for the next scion models to come out.

The Yaris is about 2300 lbs, and not a bad car overall. It may be a "tight" fit if you're a big guy, but otherwise if your budget is under $15,000 (as it sounds) then the Honda Civic base hatchback, Corolla (stripped model) and the xA are all good choices. If budget wasn't the BIG factor for you, then I'd naturally suggest a Tundra or even a base Tacoma. :-D
